A Creative Space for Content Creators in Kibera Memo Reverse Hub (MRH) started in 2022. It is a creative space that aims at tapping and showcasing the work of content creators through photography, audio recording, videography and branding. The hub has created a space where performing artists and content creators are getting skills, access to equipment and networking to be able to show the world the positive side of Kibera The main objectives 1. To create new talents 2. ⁠To Equip creatives with skills to generate positive content 3. ⁠To utilize the created content to influence the community 4. ⁠To benchmark with individuals and organizations with similar interests

-TRAINING  If you're interested in lending a helping hand, we would love to have you volunteer to train them on market linkages, and design, and experience our creativity. By sharing your expertise and knowledge with them, you can help them grow and develop new skills that will benefit them in the long run. Whether you have experience in marketing, design, or just a passion for creativity, your guidance can make a huge impact on the work. Plus, it's a great opportunity to connect with like-minded individuals and contribute to something meaningful. So, if you're up for it, we would be thrilled to have you on board as a volunteer trainer! -MICRO-FINANCE The group is also offering to help their community members with their financial needs. They are giving locals the chance to save money and get a loan for their businesses. This initiative is a great way for people in their area to support each other and build up their businesses, all while helping boost the local economy. E-commerce The group has a long-term dream of setting up an online shop and is seeking anyone with skills, expertise and know-how to help them set up the shop.

Victorious Crafts is a brand dedicated to creating accessories and costumes from recycled waste materials such as bones, horns, and metal. Their mission is to combat pollution and unemployment by turning discarded items into stunning handmade crafts. Each piece is a unique blend of creativity and sustainability, giving new life to materials that would otherwise end up in landfills. At Victorious Crafts, they are not solely focused on accessories. They also incorporate historic elements from days gone by, reviving them through their creative handiwork for a variety of events, from film showcases to fashion shows and more. EKT and Victorious have been partners for over 15 years and we have linked them with markets within Kenya and outside Kenya for that long.

Power Women Group is a group of 15 women who came together to reduce the stigma surrounding HIV/AIDS. The group started in 2004 by saving Kshs.10 to create HIV/AIDS awareness pins to sell during World AIDS Day. Unfortunately, no one would purchase the pin because of discrimination and stigma surrounding HIV/AIDS.  They were able to save some money that enabled them to conduct outreach programs within the Kibera community to change the thinking of people towards people living with HIV/AIDS They currently run a beautiful Kibera shop selling jewellery, clothes, fabrics and many other souvenirs. They also teach tailoring to young mothers and conduct hairdressing courses.  As EKT, we have been proud partners with Power Women for over 15 years and our tours include a visit to their shop where we highlight their incredible stories, bring a stream of demand to their artwork and showcase the good work they do Some of the volunteering opportunities available at Power Women Group include training in financial management, linkage to the market supply of their products, and training management of e-commerce among many other opportunities that might be available.
